Water Activity Courses – Permit Assessments

We are presently looking ahead to next year’s programme of water activities. We are presently growing in numbers and to enable us to get everyone on the water we are currently looking for more Adults to help out on a Friday evening, especially to help run water activities. If you are willing to help out or know of anyone who can help please contact myself or one of the other leaders. If you hold an RYA Instructors certificate for either Dinghy Sailing, Power boating or Windsurfing, this would be a great help. Holders of these certificates do not have to undertake a Scout assessment, but need to apply for the appropriate permit. If you do not hold an instructors certificate but think you are competent, you can undertake one of the Water Activity Assessments as listed below.

For holders of an RYA Power boating Level 2 or RYA Safety Boat certificate we would also like to hear from you to help man and drive the Safety Boat. We hope to have a second Safety boat in operation in 2015. We are also interested to hear from those who would like to undertake the appropriate course. We can arrange courses at greatly reduced cost, and funding might also be available
